i made an HD video that i believe teaches in depth and clearly how to make a solar panel automatic factory in tekkit, and i would like it to be embedded into some pages in the buildcraft and tekkit wiki (but without spamming where inappropriate)
Hello, I was wondering if you think there is potential in a crafting grid template for this wiki? Such a thing is used on the official Minecraft wiki and a few other mod wikis as well. I've found it to be quite useful on those sites.
Alright, I can happily announce that the first phase is complete. A crafting grid template for items made on the vanilla Crafting Table can be found here, along with documentation. At the bottom, it gives instructings for uploading images that will work nicely. I uploaded a few, just to make sure the examples would display, but I'll keep at it as much as I can.
(This is very exciting for me. I'm really looking forward to creating all-new GUIs for BC only crafting stations, like the Assembly Table.)
I saw what you did on Pipe Waterproof, and it reminded me that the template has that feature built in. I do have a question though, before I mess with it: Do you think we should have separate articles for each pipe? It would be a great spot for very specific statistics and usage. Take a look at Gold Waterproof Pipe and Iron Pipe, for example. Tying that in, the built in slideshow function would link to each specific item when its image shows, which I think is quite handy.
EDIT: Sorry no, I have to add that feature. I stole a simpler template, but I can always modify it.
I got to looking at the Assembly Table grid and it looks wonderful! One thing I noticed though is that the items in the grid are named about opposite to the Crafting Table. The CT uses letters for columns while the AT uses them for rows, which is fine, but may confuse some users.
EDIT: I did some work on the documentation for the Assembly Table and changed the template itself a bit. I did go around you a little on this one and I apologise for not waiting for your response. If you want, I can revert.
Thanks for making this template. I've yoinked it for my own wiki.
I did notice one small error: the numbers in the crafting result are incorrectly positioned 2 pixels too low, cutting off the bottom edge of the shadow. If you change its parent div's top margin from -8 to -10, it fixes it.
Edit: on mobile it looks fine, but not desktop. Change the height to 18 pixels instead.
Thanks to Tabea333 for the "readable" code! I have no idea how to overlay two pictures with wiki synthax so I hope this will be a good orientation point for me! btw I need it exactly for the same thing like you, for minecraft recipies! xD
